3,578 SF space.  The CT-PET consists of a comprehensive interior renovation at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, North Carolina, to create a new PET CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography) department within an existing suite. The work includes selective demolition of current interior spaces and the construction of a specialized medical imaging environment designed to support advanced diagnostic equipment and patient care functions. Architectural improvements include new walls, doors, ceilings, finishes, and casework, along with the installation of required radiation shielding for PET CT operations. Structural modifications may be included to support equipment and accommodate layout changes.

The renovation also involves extensive upgrades to building systems, including HVAC systems with new ductwork, air handling units, and controls; plumbing systems such as domestic water, sanitary waste, and medical gas piping; fire protection systems including wet-pipe sprinklers; and electrical systems covering power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, nurse call, and low-voltage components. Specialty features such as impact-resistant wall protection, durable healthcare-grade finishes, and resilient flooring are incorporated to meet medical facility standards.

The project will be delivered under a single-prime contract, requiring the contractor to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work. A strong emphasis is placed on coordination between trades, quality control, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The final result will be a fully functional PET CT department that supports advanced imaging technology, enhances patient safety, and integrates seamlessly into the existing hospital environment while improving overall clinical efficiency.
